«Recordings made between 2020 - 2024 in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro, more specifically in the rural area of the Municipality of São José do Vale do Rio Preto, within the Fazenda São João. Located in the Atlantic Forest, the Fazenda São João has 60%
of its area reforested and protected, where a great diversity of birds,
insects, amphibians and other animal species can be found, as well as several preserved water sources.
The recordings that make up “16 Estações” were made at different times of the day,
in different seasons of the year, over 4 years. You can hear, among other things, a chorus of cicadas on a spring evening, toads in a lake on summer nights, crickets, bees,
bamboos, rain, streams, campfires…» - Verónica Cerrotta
