Rastros Tierra del Fuego

The immensity of an apparently empty, desolate landscape that evokes abandonment, loneliness and also a place whose history is blood stained by human ambition, is exposed here through various audio recordings, made at the end of 2017 in Russfin, Tierra del Fuego.
The first track is an invitation to immerse into the massive wind present in the area, which was captured inside some tubes that were part of the structure of an abandoned cow pen.. The tubes work as resonators, making sounds similar to an organ, which gives the audio a reflective character.
The second part is a soundscape captured on a sunny afternoon that shows us an exterior full of life, in opposition to the usual idea of Tierra del Fuego as a desolate place.
This album was made thanks to the invitation of Graciela Muñoz and Cristian López to participate in the Epitaph project for the Sound Art Laboratory.
I also thank Juan Castillo and Mateo López for the shared experience.
