This sound work is part of the series "O Rio", a project of sound archiving and documentation of the Alvoco River in Portugal, which has been released by Impulsive Habitat since 2012.
This fifth volume navigates again along the Alvoco River (a 32Km rural river, born in Serra da Estrela, the highest point in continental Portugal), in its social and natural dimensions.
After the fires that devastated the central area of Portugal and particularly the Beira Serra area, in October 2017, many acoustic changes occurred... This work reflects some of them, as well as aspects of the resilience and resistance of the people who inhabit this territory, rooted also in some of the faith that moves them...
